It is very good fortune to find a Christmas tree with a nest in it, think of finding one with eggs in the nest. And then to find one of the eggs is painted with a bow and poinsettia around it, the good luck will last all year.
You will receive a natural nest with three empty eggshells, from domestically infertile eggs, one each button quail, small bobwhite, and a hand-painted large bobwhite quail. I paint the one egg with acrylics and seal the egg, there is a painted bow and ribbon going around the egg, pine branches and red poinsettia.
The nest is about 2" tall and 3" across.
There is a wire to attach nest to a branch, moss to cushion eggshells and I will include a circle of netting to keep everything inside the nest plus a few dried fern fronds to look natural. All eggs will be shipped in tissue so this is to be assembled when you get it. Of course you don't have to put it in the tree, add to a table arrangement, swag or wreath. Makes a very unique hostess gift too, pass on the good luck.
